Hey I’m Jiwan,

I'm an Identity and Career Coach for First Gens, bicultural achievers, creatives and entrepreneurs.

Over the last 10 years I've been in a lot of different rooms.

As an academic in London, Germany and the US and as a brand strategist in Canada working with 90+ CEOs and founders globally.

And in every space I noticed the same thing:

Brilliant bicultural achievers were "successful" and riddled with self-doubt.

Not because they lacked ability.

But because of something everyone overlooks in the diaspora: survivalist conditioning.

The people-pleasing. The hyper-hustle. The chronic guilt for wanting more.

These are the patterns we inherited from our families and cultures, passed down through generations of survival.

And they're leaving us burnt-out, underpaid and unfulfilled.

Because these patterns?

They weren’t built for thriving.

So if we want to flourish as our full, vibrant, and authentic selves?

We have to stop building from fear and start building from who we actually are. That’s the real gap.

And bridging it?

It unlocks a new realm of potential and purpose in your life and career.

I know. Because I lived it.

Here’s My Story…

I'm a daughter of Punjabi immigrants, raised in Canada and for most of my twenties I was larger than life.

I travelled alone, lived in four countries and chased every question that fascinated me across every border it took me to.

By most traditional standards I was already “breaking every norm in the book.” But in my career, I shrunk my personality and ‘played small.’

Because the message I had absorbed, quietly, was that fulfilment can’t come from your career. Career is survival. Career is stability. Career is how you take care of the people you love.

But expecting it to light you up?

That's naive. That's selfish. That's not how success works.

And, I believed it.

So I “grew up.” I got the serious job. I built the impressive career.

I stopped chasing what fascinated me and started chasing what made “sense.” And… I burned the f*ck out.

Not from working too hard, though I did. But from spending years neglecting my own fulfilment and needs as the path to success.

It took a year-long sabbatical, a lot of unlearning and the courage to start over before I could honestly ask the question I had been avoiding:

Who am I? And what do I actually want?

But when I finally answered it?

The decisions looked and felt different.

I invested in my own healing. I married the person I loved. I moved abroad. And when I was ready?

I built a business rooted entirely in my identity and the unique intersections of everything I am.

Drawing on everything I am — a philosopher, a community builder, a coach, a personal brand strategist and a First-Gen navigating her own becoming.

That intersection became my zone of genius. And when I finally started building from it?

Not only did I start healing from burn-out.

But I built a career that felt like ME.

9 months after launching my coaching offer?

I replaced my monthly salary. Then I did it again. And again. And… again.

I went on to build an audience across four platforms and get to share my expertise with thousands of people online and offline.

Today, this integration allows me to work with people I believe in, while doing work I LOVE.

My Zone of Genius didn’t just re-energize me. It built an aligned career and revenue generating business.

Because when you build from your most vibrant self, you make opportunities happen for yourself energetically, emotionally AND financially.

The best part? You have a zone of genius too.

And finding it is exactly what we do together.

My Approach…

Most career coaching skips the most important steps.

It jumps straight to strategy, the resume, the business plan, the next "checkbox" without asking:

What do YOU want out of your life and career?

For First and Second-Gens, that question is complicated. Because we didn't just inherit career expectations.

We inherited survival strategies.

People-pleasing. Hyper-hustle. The inability to enjoy our own wins. The chronic guilt of wanting more. The fear that if we differentiate too much from what our families envisioned, we'll lose their love.

These aren't character flaws.

They're adaptions to real experiences of survival and scarcity.

But they will keep you building the wrong life indefinitely if you don't examine them.

That's why my practice sits at the intersection of 3 pillars:

1. Identity Work
Uncovering the narratives you've inherited about who you're supposed to be and what success is supposed to look like, so you can decide which ones still serve you.

2. Nervous System Integration
Understanding why your body resists good change, why growth feels like danger and how to build the capacity to move toward what you want without burning out.

3. Career and Business Strategy
Building a strategy rooted in your strengths, your bicultural identity and your vision for the life and career YOU actually want.

Together, these 3 pillars empower you to build a career path that is aligned, fulfilling and profitable.

My Conviction…

Being bicultural gives us a unique vantage point.

We grew up moving between two worlds that didn't always agree with each other. What success, family and achievement looked like in our homes was different from what we experienced in schools and workplaces.

So we learned to translate, adapt and move through worlds, without ever being taught how.

That fluency? It becomes a skill.

A unique cultural intelligence most people never have to develop, because they only ever stood in one world at a time.

But you have that skill. You've been navigating two worlds and value systems your whole life.

You know how to read beneath the surface, adapt fast and deliver no matter what room you're in.

That's how you innovate and see problems other people miss. That's why you jump on opportunities other people overlook entirely.

That instinct doesn't disappear.

It becomes your superpower.

But survivalist conditioning buries those skills under fear. Under smallness. Under the belief that the safest thing to do is shrink and comply with the powers that be.

And that's exactly what we're here to change.

Because you're not here to just survive being bicultural.

You're here to thrive as bicultural person.

To excavate your potential. To own your identity. To champion your gifts and build your career and your life from that authentic place.

Besides, our lineages didn't sacrifice so much just so we could survive in the West. They sacrificed so we could have a better life.

So let's LIVE that better life. Because when you stop shrinking and start standing tall in your full bicultural brilliance?

The right people notice. The right opportunities open up.

And before you know it…

You're thriving as your most authentic and best self.

What Clients Say About Me…

From Burnt-out Executive to Full-time Entrepreneur

Jiwan and I started working together for the last 8 months, as I left my job to figure out what to do next. She worked alongside me as a thought partner and empowered me to discover and claim my inner voice, while coaching me to create my own path forward.

After working together through this program, I feel so clear and confident in the work that I am doing now, combining my love for leadership, HR and equitable career services. Thank you Jiwan, you have been instrumental in my success.

From laid-off to Strategist and Part-time Creator

I felt really lost when I started working with Jiwan. I had been laid off for almost a whole year and I had tons of side projects to keep me busy. But nothing was really equating to any revenue or new opportunities.

Jiwan helped me get focused so I can get a full-time to job to support me financially. She also helped me create a roadmap for my projects so I could focus on the ones that excited me most, but also had the greatest potential for long-term viability. I just found her compassionate and strategic approach helpful. It was the right voice at the right time. - A.R.

From Self-Doubt to Charging What She’s Worth…

If I’m being honest, I’ve always held shame for being a creative in my family. All through my 20's I was pressured to ‘just get a real job.’

I didn’t realize how much this pressure had influenced me. I was scared to charge what I was worth, because “how valuable is creativity anyways? “

I was constantly working with the wrong clients, and felt behind. Jiwan helped me heal the self-esteem issues I carried about myself and taught me how to take self-affirming action in ways that fuel my creativity. It’s made all the difference. - C.N.

My Deeper Why

I want the diaspora to thrive.

Not just survive. Not just succeed by someone else's definition. But genuinely, fully, unapologetically thrive.

I know many of us have absorbed a set of rules about who we're supposed to be and what we're supposed to want. Rules written by families and cultures who were doing their best to keep us safe in a world that wasn't always built for our flourishing.

And yes, those rules kept us safe. But now?

They keep us small.

So it's time to finally take up space.

And that starts by bending the rules of who we're "supposed" to be. Breaking the shoulds that have held us back. And reimagining what's actually possible for us.

Because when we finally detangle from the survivalist conditioning we were raised with, we step into our fullest and most authentic selves.

And that authenticity unlocks everything else.

The confidence to own your own path.
The permission to dream and pursue what you actually want in your life and career.
The freedom to do it in a way and on a timeline that is right for YOU.

You deserve this.

Because we only get one life. And the version designed by someone else's fears and limitations was never your path to take.

So let's make your path happen.

Where you can flourish and thrive, as you.
